Operation Jack 2015

Date: 12/26/15

Half Marathon #112

Race Name: Operation Jack Half Marathon

Location: Los Angeles, CA

The Operation Jack Los Angeles event is held annually the day after Christmas. Three distances are offered: 5K, Half Marathon and Full Marathon. The marathon course is a Boston Qualifier!

The Operation Jack Autism Foundation raises money for autism-related charities around the country. The race is hosted in other major cities as well. For more information visit www.operationjack.org/races/

This was my second consecutive year running the race and it was freezing at the start again...clearly not a deal breaker since I came back :-)

The course is very flat and runs through a beach bike path that is not closed to the general public. Not a problem since it isn't a HUGE race. Overall a good run that gives you beach views and a little sand to kick around every now and then.

If you are not from Southern California but you visit for the holidays....sign up for next year's race to earn your huge dog tag inspired finisher medal!
